What's New
Two Beaufort County School District students have been announced as semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program and will advance to the next level of competition.
The previously approved calendar make-up days of December 23, 2024 and January 6, 2025 will be implemented to accommodate the two days of school closures associated with Tropical Storm Debby.
BCSD Schools were well represented at the 2024 All County Honor Band. The process started in November of 2023 when students auditioned for placement in either the Middle School Honor Band or the High School Honor Band.
As the state and Beaufort County School District (BCSD) continue the mission to ensure that at least 75% of students are performing at or above grade level by 2029, these results highlight both successes and areas for continued focus.
In consultation with Emergency Management, we look forward to starting the school year tomorrow, Friday, August 9.
In consultation with Emergency Management, there is no school tomorrow, Thursday, August 8. It is our intent to open for school on Friday, August 9, but we will confirm by 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, August 8.
Please be advised that all BCSD buildings and facilities will be CLOSED for the remainder of today (August 5), Tuesday (August 6), and Wednesday (August 7).
We understand that as parents and guardians you are eager to get the school year started, as are we. However, we want to ensure we do so safely. (We have many factors to consider, especially projected high-winds and flooding that can prohibit the safe travel of school buses.)
