Vicki Goude, Principal

Beaufort is my home.  I began my own school career as a Kindergarten student in Beaufort County schools many years ago.  So, it is with great pride that I serve as the Principal of Port Royal Elementary School.  In 2021, I celebrated my 25th year as an educator in this school district.  I have been fortunate to serve as an Early Childhood teacher as well as an Instructional coach.  I am passionate about finding ways to help each student experience success each school day.  My goal is for each student to be safe, happy, engaged, and learning at the highest levels possible.  I look forward to reaching our destination: Excellence!

Alicia Rouse, Assistant Principal

 

I am thrilled and honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Port Royal Elementary School.

I have been an educator for 25 years, with 8 of those years in Beaufort County. I received my Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from The Citadel in 2020. In addition, I possess a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Education in Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University. Prior to becoming an administrator, I served as a classroom teacher at the elementary level. Over the past three years, I have honed my leadership skills as an Assistant Principal, preparing to serve the amazing Mariner family. Each year has brought experiences, new learning, and a renewed commitment to serving our students and teachers.

I adore serving our community's children and families, as well as working with educators who are passionate about caring for our students. It is humbling to have the opportunity to work collaboratively with this phenomenal group of students, families, and staff, and am looking forward to meeting new parents and students. It is my priority to get to know each and every student and learn the gifts and talents that make them unique individuals. 

I look forward to continuing the great work at Port Royal Elementary and partnering with you to ensure that our children receive the best education possible through high academic standards, a warm, nurturing atmosphere, and promoting well-behaved and respectful students who are lifelong learners.

It is truly an honor to serve our Mariner family, and I look forward to a wonderful year with you!
